Confession, I actually really like the ELR. Too bad about it being slow. Not sure if it’s cool enough to make !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! alongside its Eldorado ancestors, but I find it cool nonetheless. Also, that blue Macan behind it a $90,000 Macan S Exclusive. Yes, you read that right. Ninety grand, and it’s not even a Turbo (yes I know the S has a turbocharger you pedantic twats). Both very nice cars competing for which is the biggest Crack Pipe.

The ELR isn’t crack pipe?

Keep in mind the Macan S starts at about $55,000. The exclusive just means it has every conceivable option minus the bigger engine, and they didn’t make many of them. But yeah, it’s amazing what a difference a badge makes.

Well they shouldn’t be that hard to find if you look for unsold ones on dealer lots... LOL.

There are 180 of them listed on autotrader.com right now:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/…

And it’s kind of odd... there are some dealers who are trying to sell 2014 ELRs for the same or more than ones from the 2016 model year... like good ole Marvin K Brown right here:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/…

Meanwhile there’s this one with LESS mileage from the same model year selling for less than half:

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/…

Anyway... I expect the ELR to have some pretty severe depreciation over the next couple of years.

They’re a lot harder to find in the wild, if you can imagine.

When the 2014 models drop another 50% in a couple of years, you’ll see them more because then people like me will buy them.

I would definitely buy a mint low mileage ELR for $20K or less.

Then I’ll brag to everyone on Oppo about how awesome I am with my Beautiful High Performance Luxury Sports Coupe-ay!!!

“High performance”

0-60 in NINE SECONDS

You can’t even buy a new minivan that slow!

Both cars are definitely a crack pipe... but I’d rather have the Macan.

I’ve seen a gray ELR pretty frequently coming the opposite direction on my commute. It looks good... but Jesus knowing it’s a $70,000 volt that looks nice makes me upset.
